We thought we'd clarify something here. We have not won an award for the Cup of Excellence. That honor goes to coffee growers in different countries who produce exceptionally good coffee. A recent posting was about the CoE in Guatemala; a great success for Guatemalan coffee growers.
However, Lasaters Coffee & Tea has won a different award, not once, but 3 times! The SCAA (Specialty Coffee Association of America) Golden Cup Award is an award for coffee brewing excellence (see picture above). Lasaters won the award in 2006, 2007 and 2008. We're in the running for winning the award for 2009 right now and are awaiting results from the SCAA lab.
